This policy explains what data Career Ops accesses, why it needs it, how long it is kept, who it is shared with, and what control you have. If anything here is unclear, contact us at hyperviralpai@gmail.com.
Career Ops is a software tool operated by its developer, reachable at hyperviralpai@gmail.com ("Career Ops", "we", "us"). The person who signs in to Career Ops with their own Google account is the user ("you"). We are the data controller for the processing described below.
When you connect Career Ops to your Google account, it requests only the scopes listed below. All data accessed belongs to you, your Google account:
| Data category | Examples | Why it is needed |
|---|---|---|
| Email (Gmail) | Ability to send messages; ability to read messages and threads; labels; settings | To email you your daily application report, and to read replies that employers send to your applications. |
| Files (Drive, Docs, Sheets, Slides) | Your CVs, cover letters, spreadsheets and tracking documents that Career Ops creates or you attach | To generate, store, and update your application documents. |
| Calendar | Events created for interviews and follow-ups | To put interviews and deadlines on your calendar. |
| Contacts | Recruiter and employer contact records you use in applications | To keep application correspondence addresses up to date. |
| Tasks | Follow-up reminders | To create follow-up tasks for your applications. |
| Basic profile | Your name and email address | To identify your account and address your reports. |
Career Ops does not request permissions beyond this list, and does not access data unrelated to your job search.
Career Ops is automation software. Parts of the workflow are machine-assisted (for example, scoring how well a posting matches your profile, and drafting document text). These outputs are prepared for you and delivered to you; they are not shared with anyone else. No solely automated decision that has legal or similarly significant effect on you is made about you.
We do not share your data with third parties except: (a) Google, which processes data when providing the Google services named above, governed by the Google Privacy Policy; and (b) job boards and employer career sites, which receive exactly the application form content (your documents and answers) needed to submit the applications you asked for. We do not transfer your data to any other country or service outside of this.
You can revoke Career Ops's access to your Google account at any time at Google Account → Security → Third-party apps. After revocation, Career Ops can no longer access anything. You may also request access to, correction of, export of, or deletion of your data by emailing hyperviralpai@gmail.com; we answer requests within 30 days.
Career Ops is not directed at children under 16, and we do not knowingly process children's data.
Career Ops's use of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements. Career Ops also complies with the Google APIs Terms of Service. It does not use Google APIs to create, generate, host, store, transmit, or share AI-generated non-consensual intimate imagery (AI NCII), and it does not permit use of its service for that purpose.
When this policy changes, the new version is posted on this page with a new "Last updated" date. If a change materially affects your rights, we will also note the change prominently on the home page.
